Justice Department to Propose Limiting Internet Companies’ Protections
The Justice Department is set to propose a rollback of legal protections that online platforms have enjoyed for more than two decades, in an effort to make tech companies more responsible in how they police their content, according to a Trump administration official.
The department’s proposed changes, to be unveiled as soon as Wednesday, are designed to spur online platforms to be more aggressive in addressing illicit and harmful conduct on their sites, and to be fairer and more consistent in their decisions to take down content they find objectionable, the official said.
The Justice Department proposal is a legislative plan that would have to be adopted by Congress....
No, I think you guys are going down the wrong alley. The area you refer to is too big and involves too much money to be controlled. I even read once that it was considered (maybe by liberals only) to be the Motor of Change, that for example, VCR and VHS tapes were created not by Hollywood which soon lost much $$ from their movie-theater going public who were able to stay home to watch movies (anyone remember the Blockbuster stores?), but by the industry you refer to, so that they could get their product out of the 'bad' sections of town. Next step was the DVD to make the quality better and easier to make, and then online improvements, especially in download speed. Just keep it in the back of your mind...every single technological advance has been pushed by these bad guys, not Hollywood or bankers or investors like Warren Buffet. But I do think they will crack down on a website like this one where anyone can post comments.
Pornography is the worse contributing factor in sex trafficking, pedophilia, rape, drug abuse, assault and slavery than any area in the United States( for all the Metoo# demands- Porn was left untouched- the Metoo# crowd were and are hypocrites). . If DJT were saved, he would have repented his way from porn stars and center folds and worked to stop this plague
8. But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9. realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10. and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11. according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
