Pew Research Center study find American children most likely to live in single-parent homes
23% of American children under the age of 18 live in single-parent homes, according to the study, compared with 21% in the UK, 16% in France, 12% in Germany and 15% in Canada.
“These numbers are growing dramatically for the high school educated and declining for those with college and advanced degrees,” said Glenn T. Stanton of Focus on the Family, who called the report's findings "a national tragedy."
