'Chick-fil-A remains committed to Christian values:' Franklin Graham
Rev. Franklin Graham said he was assured by Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy that the company "remains committed to Christian values," after the fast-food chain’s charity arm decided to no longer donate to three organizations criticized for upholding traditional Christian beliefs on sexuality.

In a Thursday morning Facebook post, Graham, leader of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said he spoke with Cathy on the phone.

So Jim, let me get this straight. You condemn Frank Graham because of ecumenism, but laud World Vision, whose staff consists of Protestants, Catholics and Eastern Orthodox folks? And you quote a goofball who accuses Graham of “hatred” while endorsing an organization that has funneled almost $50 million to Hamas? You can’t be serious!

Mark Wingfield wrote:
Franklin Graham has a voice not only because he is his father’s son but because of his work through Samaritan’s Purse. No doubt, this relief agency does good work.... But remember that he gets a hearing because of the scope of that organization.

Evangelical Christians across America enable this platform — and Graham’s mean declarations — by supporting Samaritan’s Purse financially and by teaching their children to support it through Operation Christmas Child. Do you really want to send a dose of hatred along with that shoebox of Christmas trinkets? Does handing out Christmas gifts counterbalance Graham’s declaration that many of those who receive them would not be welcome in America?

There are other — and better — ways to support refugees and children in need around the world. In reality, sending a shoebox of odds and ends is less effective than providing food and clothing and shelter and education. If you are outraged by Franklin Graham’s misrepresentation of Christian doctrine, channel your support somewhere else, like World Vision or any of the reputable denomination-based relief agencies....

Maybe they can stop playing gospel instrumentals and play the complete track with vocals. I understand we all fall short but that makes me want to sing the song out loud when I go there! God help us all.

No matter to me what a private restaurant chain does with their money. Some seem to set them up as a representative of their values. I wonder why--can't they do it on their own? Someone has called this 'bumper sticker Christianity' and others say it is just another case ('there you go again')of Christians not being able to talk about God because maybe they have no idea who he is, but will readily talk about how they are against A or B or C.
I wish for every time a Christian airs their opinion in public, they would have a tag-along message of the plain gospel for people who have no idea why Jesus came, why he died, etc.
The most recent missive from Barna Research Group says that 'evangelicals' (as defined by them) make up only 8 percent of the US population.
Politicians like to court their vote by holding up a shiny item (like fishing lures) like abortion or sodomites.

""Graham, leader of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said he spoke with Cathy on the phone.""

This means the chicken sandwiches will taste just as good in the future.
Arminian maybe - But just as tasty.

"What the Arminian wants to do is to arouse man's activity: what we want to do is to kill it once for all---to show him that he is lost and ruined, and that his activities are not now at all equal to the work of conversion; that he must look upward. They seek to make the man stand up: we seek to bring him down, and make him feel that there he lies in the hand of God, and that his business is to submit himself to God, and cry aloud, 'Lord, save, or we perish.'" Moralistic Therapeutic Theism.

As described by Smith and his team, Moralistic Therapeutic Deism consists of beliefs like these: 1. "A god exists who created and ordered the world and watches over human life on earth." 2. "God wants people to be good, nice, and fair to each other, as taught in the Bible and by most world religions." 3. "The central goal of life is to be happy and to feel good about oneself." 4. "God does not need to be particularly involved in one's life except when God is needed to resolve a problem." 5. "Good people go to heaven when they die."

The above is a cut and paste from a previous SA news item.

If someone inserts the name of Christ into the above, then IMO that is Graham’s theology and Chick-fil-A's cultural position.

The Communist Party USA in an effort to gather converts said they were values for humanity. Graham’s off on this one be more to the point- chic fil a is the tried a true blue print of corporate America’s demonic quest to destroy the hands that feed them. As I said earlier, let all corporations not give any money as a tax shelter to any one and let the government tax the snot out of them. They treat customers as pawns so they get what they deserve. Quit picking winners and losers by the LBGTQ culture Nazis.

Well, I don't know about Chick-fil-A, but one thing for certain Franklin Graham isn't committed to Christian values (Franklin Graham's Unscriptural Ecumenism), (Why Franklin Graham’s salary raises eyebrows among Christian nonprofits), (Franklin Graham is using the power of his father’s name for his own political agenda.),

and (Billy Graham [an most definitely Franklin Graham's]--General Teachings/Activities) ❗ 👎
