Beyond Meat uses climate change to market fake meat substitutes.
As concerns mount over the dangers of a rapidly warming planet, upstart food companies are targeting a major climate-damaging food: beef.
Beyond Meat and its privately held rival Impossible Foods have recently grabbed headlines and fast-food deals for their plant-based burgers that imitate the taste of beef.
They’ve also turned the environmental benefits of abstaining from meat into a key marketing tool for their products — drawing some skepticism from environmental researchers who say plant diets are healthier and less carbon emitting than producing processed plant-based products....
I'll bet the real plan is to keep us from eating animals due to the strong emphasis of Hindu and Buudhism on Progressives as well as a "family" connection with animals in general, seeing as we're supposedly animals too.
I've seen in a certain store a new trend in protien -- crickets and meal worms. They are being billed as renewal, lower footprint protein sources. No one reincarnated to an insect, so those must be OK. And mammals or birds are just too close to humans on the supposed evolutionary chain for some people. They think they are a money's uncle or something.
This is racial discrimination against cattle. (And cowboys)
Just look how the Lord enjoys barbeques.... Gen 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done."
This is God's answer to Global warming.... 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
I don’t see how these meatless substitutes are any better for the environment and the meatless Whopper isn’t that much better for people who watch their fat and calorie intake. It also doesn’t taste as good from what I here!
