Mike Pence Reveals President Trump Routinely Requests Prayer at Meetings

While President Donald Trump's licentious past has been the subject of multiple reports lately, Vice President Mike Pence revealed on the National Day of Prayer Thursday that the New York City billionaire is quite principled when it comes to praying for direction about the nation's business.

In an interview with CBN News shortly after Trump held a celebration for the National Day of Prayer in the Rose Garden, Pence said the president has encouraged praying in the White House by personally promoting the practice himself.

"There's prayer going on on a regular basis in this White House. And it's one of the most meaningful things to me, whether it's public meetings or not, I've lost count of the number of times that the president has nudged me, or nudged another member of the Cabinet and said, 'Let's start this meeting with prayer,'" Pence said. ...

It's really quite amusing, well perhaps, ironical is probably the better word for it, what Mike Pence thought that a person who was going to be president moral quality should be❗

Jim,

Take the verses you posted and apply them to yourself - remember God will NOT hold you accountable for another's sins.
Has God opened your eyes to your sins? Has He shown you your idolatry, which He abhors? Your sins are just as grievous as those of Trump's or Clinton's. Sin isn't limited to a certain political party.

P.S. - while you are at it, don't forget to do a little 'fact checking' on the Clintons as well. Doesn't matter if she's in office or not, she is just as vile a sinner as any of the rest of us.

It would be a blessing if SA would STOP posting so many politically based stories which only give a platform to Jim L and his style of politics - the liberal agenda. Politics, whether liberal or conservative, are both evil. Men and women use politics to further agendas and enforce godless laws, like infanticide and sodomite marriage.

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" 2 Cor. 13:5

And might I add that while a new covenant promise in one instance may appear to be specific to the seed of Jacob, the promises are actually common to all who come into the covenant. Were they not, another covenant would need to be provided with specific promises to Gentiles who do not count their descent from Jacob and no such covenant exists to my knowledge. This was the case in the first covenant as well as Adriel pointed out yesterday in Deut 29.
Yes, I am seeing this more and more, and it is quite thrilling. This subject has puzzled me for a long time, but the Lord teaches in his own time and his own way, and now the fog is clearing; scripture will always have this effect, for it is QUICK AND POWERFUL, whichever way you look at it, either for conviction or for more enlightenment. I praise God for his precious word, and the precious Word.

Deut 32:43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
"nations" = Goyim, Gentiles and in some instances the descendants of Abraham.
"with his people" meaning the remnant of the two houses of Israel. Paul quotes indicating the timeline of fulfillment:
Rom 15:12 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

UPS, I can see how that could be misinterpreted so I will apologize to the numerous people who are Christian that were/are on this thread and not even paying attention to the SA article anyway. Except for a couple of references to articles on Lordship salvation, and there are quite a few Christians who do not like that terminology, and no askance about their Christianity--all my references have been to the SA article.

UPS, If I said that John Y., said that Trump was a Christian I apologize, I don't know if he really did or did not recently. I just said that the SA article and Pence were trying to push the idea that Trump is.👎 Since Trump rejects repentance and also shows no sign of it, I think it's safe to assume that he is not a Christian. No matter what Pence and his friends say or inply about Trump❗

Hi Lurker;
Have you noticed these verses they make a very interesting statement.
Deuter 29:14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath; 15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:"
Matthew Henry suggest that it alludes to the Gentiles.
"(3.) Not the men of Israel only, but the stranger that was in their camp, provided he was so far proselyted to their religion as to renounce all false gods, was taken into this covenant with the God of Israel, forasmuch as he also, though a stranger, was to be looked upon in this matter as a son of Abraham, Lu. 19:9. This was an early indication of favour to the Gentiles, and of the kindness God had in store for them." (Henry)
Hey bro.,

I'd certainly agree with MH. And there are many other OT texts which testify to exactly the same thing:

Isaiah 19:22-25 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

Thanks for bringing it up.

God has provided a covenant means for the reconciliation of us dogs who don't count our descent from Jacob but Abraham.
Gal 4:26 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
I'm pretty sure there is at least one more prophetic text which speaks of Gentiles included in the covenant promises but can't seem to find it right now. If I find it I'll pass it on.
Also, amen to the whole counsel of God comments. Not much in the bible is disconnected from the rest. It all works together to present a complete picture.
Blessings.
Blessings indeed bro. There is a complete picture we are working on, with many overlays, building it up, layering. I forget now why I asked James the question, but no matter, you have quoted one of my favourite verses in the whole Bible, which is Galatians 4:26.
