Great Sermon! Nice job, Pastor Glisch. Good work laying out your position while maintaining all due charity and respect to those who may hold to a different persuasion.
Very deceptive! I totally agree with the first comment! Those who promote OSAS totally exclude mountains of clear scripture that one must endure to the end to be saved and many "if" statements (after being born again we still retain our free will to choose) Please pray the holy spirit would show you the truth on this most important matter. Remember, let GOD be true and EVERY man a liar!
I think that this article was off-base and slanted. To try and place the blame for the lack of young married couples solely on the shoulders of men is ludicrous. I'll be the first to admit that there are many young men in churches who aren't interested in getting married. One thing that the article (and the book I imagine) doesn't address, though, is the fact that there are probably just as many young women who either 1)aren't interested in being married, or 2)have some very unbiblical ideas of how the marriage relationship works that makes them to be viewed as someone who shouldn't be considered as a possible wife. As a young Christian man I can say that this is something that I have found to be true.
Far too many young men & women in churches have worldly concepts & ideas concerning what marriage is about. There needs to be a lot more teaching about, modeling of, & praying for godly marriages in our churches if we want to see this trend reversed.
