501c3 doesn't force churches to signup. The 501c3 guidelines clearly say: The IRS also prevents organizations (even churches) from making official ties to political campaigns including candidate endorsements. 501c3 is under government control. If you sell your church out to the government, don't be shocked when the government exercises it's control over you, they pay for you.

Was he baptised as an infant? Is he part of God's Elect? If so, then, he can do what he wants. He can be labeled a Christian although he has the mind of a devil.
