China really is a miserable place. For thousands of years its people have excepted despotism. From Emperor gods to Communist gods, these people never collectively turned towards individual freedom. And what, after all this time, did they have to show for it? Forced abortion, no home schooling, state churches - may God share is mercy with them as we lose His here as we turn towards despotism.
25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
After being in hell for ten million years, I don't think the mormons will care that the embassy was a political occasion. Pretty much any moment someone was honest about their inability to save themselves through a false religion, it was a blessing to them.
Jim Lincoln wrote: I agree that Trump did the right thing about moving the embassy to Jerusalem. It should have been done long ago. Trump should have not used his religious sycophants for the dedication ceremony. This was a political occasion and as another Jerusalem Post article points out: --]]https://www.jpost.com/printarticle.aspx?id=556334 (Pastor at Jerusalem embassy event said Jews, Mormons, Muslims going to ****)
The problem isn’t God’s law, it’s human moralism. God never regulated mind-altering substances with the use of the civil minister. He left correction with with ecclesiastical body. Now, we took something ordinary and boring, and then made it illegal for nearly a century. This is thanks to the false humanistic act of moralism. This forbidden fruit is now an exciting novelty instead of nothing at all. Had it always been legal, it’d be as interesting and widespread as salvia up until the early 2000s.
Maybe someone should inform the NAE that God never gave the civil minister jurisdiction in the realm of healthcare. It's always a good idea to read the bible before publishing an opinion for the general public.
"... The founders of the SBC were confessional Calvinists.
When the 293 delegates met in Georgia in May of 1845, they elected W. B. Johnson (1782-1862) as the denomination’s first president. Johnson was active in the founding of the South Carolina Baptist Convention in 1821 and was the only man present at the founding of both the General Missionary Convention in 1814 and the SBC thirty-one years later. For twenty-eight years he had served as president of the Baptist convention of South Carolina and held the same office in the General Missionary Convention from 1841 to 1845. Early Southern Baptists did not adopt a confession of faith simply because most churches and associations had their own, many of them derived from the Second London Confession. Thus, theological unity in the early days was not in question. Like a majority of the SBC’s first delegates and early leaders, Johnson held to a Reformed understanding of salvation, though there were some issues regarding his view of imputation related to justification. ..."
The anabaptist movement was very wide. There's a lack of specificity in this article? Which strand are they talking about? These anabaptist held very diverse views on several key subjects, not just baptism or the church-state relationship. Some held very unorthodox views about God. It would be helpful to narrow this group down more.
The civil magistrate should be putting these people to death for their crimes (and promptly). This conversation is a discussion about the color of their drapes. They murder.
38 Then fire from the Lord came down and burned the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the ground around the altar. It also dried up the water in the ditch. 39 When all the people saw this, they fell down to the ground, crying, “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!”
40 Then Elijah said, “Capture the prophets of Baal! Don’t let any of them run away!” The people captured all the prophets. Then Elijah led them down to the Kishon Valley, where he killed them.
Despite demographic changes and population growth, the US neither substantially expands the number of federal judges nor reapportions the jurisdiction of the appellate courts. They excuse I've heard for the latter is that it's too hard. Eye roll; everything in life is hard.
