We stopped celebrating as well. Jesus didn't celebrate His birthday and scripture doesn't EVER mention that we should. Brian Moonan has a great video on YouTube. Just look up Turn From Your Idols videos and you can find it. He came out of the RCC and knows what he's talking about.
I've said it before and will say it again. Look up Sam Adams from Independence Baptist Church. He has a few very compelling sermons on Obama and America the Babylon. There is more going on than most of us actually realize...
I recommend that you look up Pastor Sam Adams from Independence Baptist Church here on Sermon Audio... Then take a listen to his Emperor Obama sermon and the other messages from that series. Powerful material folks!
I Needed This Pride is so hard to shake and so easy to deny. I need this message because I have had to deal with my own pride.
I will be listening to it more than once.
Sorry everyone. I'm not trying to be hateful or mean. I just see too much people worship and I don't want us to lift anyone higher than we should. I appreciate what the great men of old have done and I just want to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling. Ultimately it will be me and me alone standing before God giving account for all I have done in this body.
Soooo, Unprofitable what you're saying is that all of the man made dieties of the RCC are OK? God did tell Moses in the construction of the tent to make certain images, but that was God. Read your bible my friend (Exodus 20:4 and Leviticus 26:1) just to clarify. Perhaps we don't worship these great men like an idol per SE, but they were just that... Men like we are. But hey, people don't worship musicians and Hellywood Stars either.
I can appreciate the idea, but we're told not to make graven images... We worship Jesus, not the men. Just saying what the Word says. I don't write the mail, I just deliver it.
The literal Word of God clearly spoke to Paul concerning a woman's role. I don't write the mail, I just deliver it! Either you believe every Word or your a false convert. Truthfully our belief isn't required for the Word to be true... It just is. If you can't say amen, at least say "ouch!"
