“Now since our systems of government has no religious litmus test, then surely you aren’t saying someone should be tried for breaking Moses’ law when they don’t believe in that law or have not been obligated by God to that law in a societal sense.”Correct – our government has no litmus test. We should live like the Jews in Babylon or Persia. We should acknowledge the governing authority and not try to circumvent the government God has established. However, our government might not have a litmus test, but nevertheless, the official religion of our nation is Humanism. “And, what if they lived in Iran, China, Russia et al? I do believe God established governments to render laws and justice, but those would by necessity be a far cry from acting as a religious court.” All men are religious. Some men are Humanists, some are Muslims, some are Hindus, some are Romanists, some are Mormons, and so on. We all live under religious laws and we all go to religious courts. |
