1. Your article says, "Christians are engaging in social and political "activism" for the astonishing purpose of attempting to coerce an ungodly society into adopting Christian standards of conduct."
However, telling the Civil Magistrate to do its Romans 13 duty (e.g. punishing murderers) isn't coercing an ungodly society into adopting Christian standards of conduct.
2. The article says, "... there is not one example in the entire Bible of political or social "activism" ever being advocated or used by God's people..."
But, absence of proof is not proof of absence. We are allowed to make deductions out of the Scriptures. That's why we have fences around swimming pools. Plus, Christ deduced the resurrection for the Jewish leaders because God said "I am the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob." God is the God of the living, not the dead.
Oppressing sexually abused women, taking money from foreign sources, endangering lives while Secretary of State, pathological lying, pro-same sex marriage, pro-abortion and Planned Parenthood, decades of scandals coming from out of Arkansas, and an unyielding lust for more power... All great reasons for pastors to vote for Hillary
Who's rewarding the middle class, Jim? I suppose a family of five with an annual, urban income of $75k is better off than in 2007 with premiums? Don't make me laugh.
There's no doubt that Republicans have many serious sins, but not all sins are of equal worth. Certainly all sins condemn us to hell, but not all sins are equally as evil in God's eyes. That's extremely obvious, even with a quick reading of the whole Bible. Plus, some sins have much more serious temporal consequences. The Democrats "boo" the mention of God at their conventions. They punish Christians for not getting on the gender changing bandwagon. They seek to limit free speech. They actively fight against the defunding of a murdering organization. They are on the front lines of changing the family structure in this country. Yes, the Republicans are evil, but between the two, there's hardly a comparison. That's why a supermajority of Bible believing Christians never vote Democrat at the national level. It's because they have discrenment.
Well that's all well and good Jim, but to even ignore general revelation and conscience is inexcusable. The civil minister isn't even stopping murder in this country but rather funds the companies commiting murder. I like PJ but he's either wrong or out of context. There is no area of life the church is expected no to call sinners to repent, even kings and governors. It's possible to sin in any occupation, even government. The king should punish the evildoer. It's his job to punish evil since vigilantism is not allowed under the Scriptures.
Jim says, "First of all we should provide some balance here, since the Republican Party is not the party of God." This is true, it's not the party of God, but the Democrats are doing an excellent job of being the party of Satan.
He's part of a long line of people-hating, megalomaniacs in high office. This guy is a classic example of a sociopath. This is a good reason why you don't vote for people who lack the fear of God and hate covetousness. It's remarkable he even got one evangelical vote, especially in 2012.
