I am not sure what post he was reffering to, but it seems like everything is in tact here.

If I insulted somebody, it probably had to do something with the fact that Jesus loves everyone.

Ok, folks, I have not been here in a long time so you are in for it today. It's time to unleash the Weapon of Mass Instruction.

Just like the Calvinist to have all the questions but none of the answers.

Since you can't defend your position, you are left with a smokescreen that does not even have to do with anything with the current subject.

But since, after all, I am the Weapon of Mass Instruction, out of the kindness of my heart and because of the sympathy I have to your mental disease, I will humor you for a brief moment.

Unlike you, I believe that the immediate context is necessary to interpret the meaning of 2:24. If you read the immediate context it is clear that James is not speaking of salvation but of Christian service.

That's a world of a difference.

You see Walt, it's not as complicated as you would like it to be. In fact it's quite simple. God made it that way because he desires all (not just theological elitists like yourself) to know the truth.

And that's the way the cookie crumbles.

The problem in JD, Yamil and the other Arminian/Free willers on site - and the term "justification by faith" - is that the Arminian/Free willers see faith as human effort and ability...
Actually you are a bit confused as well. We spend most of our time trying to teach you that the Bible never attributes faith to works. In fact it contrasts it. It's either of faith or of works.

You spend your time trying to convince us that our faith equals works. Just read the rest of your post and my point is confirmed.

The dehvastating truth is that you can never find a quote of us stating such a thing. In fact the only people you could find that would state something like that is Calvinists.

But of course it is more easier for you to argue against a ghost than to face the dehvastating truth.

I prescribe you a sincere heart.

Is'nt it interesting how one can quote such a verse like I Corinthians 1:23-24, and go off on a tangent on unconditional election when the verse quoted says nothing about it?

One can easily substitute the verse with anything else in the Bible and it will make as much of nonsense as the one quoted.

I prescribe Wayne a two-week Calvinistic detoxication.

Spurgeon's morning read wrote:
Paul Washer is a calvinist and if you spend time searching this site you will understand how the Lord is blessing his calvinistic preaching. See the comments-a Cheryl, an Abigail, and even an arminian Michael fron Endicott NY.
Good orator, or a good preacher? Invite him to my kitchen, and we will see what he is really made of.

Now here is something that will really get you mad:

He believed it!

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Calvinism is nothing more than one big-knotted up ball of self-contradiction.

And that's the way the cookie crumbles.

The Calvinist have a hard time praying for anybody.

Why ask for something of a god that has all things predetermined?

It's a tough predicament they are in.

There is hope for them though. After all, they do have the Weapon of Mass Instruction eager to present them with the liberating truth.

So does that mean that you will finnally allow God to state what he means and mean what he states?

I will write that one down in the "101 Most Ridiculous Things Said By Calvinists."

I prescribe you the Weapon of Mass Instruction.

The same way you did silly. And the same way one can choose to either love his wife or divorce her.

It's call free will. Ever heard of it?

Really, it's not as complicated as you would like it to be:

John 3:16 wrote:
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Trust me. Its that simple.

Calvinism at the least is a joke.

At best a mental disease.

Nothing that the Weapon of Mass Instruction can't cure.

How many would be saved if they only knew how?

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

Romans 10:14

"My post on Spiritual Perfection was the final of 3 Parts showing that the Word of God teaches spiritual perfection—which we all should be striving towards."

There is a wide difference between perfection and sinless perfection.

I prescribe you an English Dictionary.

JD,

It's the Calvinistic infection eating up his brain. He eats, breathes, Calvinism. Kinda like a walking zombie.

"We must uphold the Word of God, which teaches sinless perfection, while we ourselves are seeking it but have not yet attained."

Firstly that's called hypocrisy. You require something of others that you yourself do not have.

Secondly, the Bible does not teach sinless perfection. That's another Pentecostal sham evidenced from my point above.

You believe that God predestined them to hell.

We believe they chose hell.

Now am I missing something here? It seems to me that the god who predestined people to go to hell would be the one responsible for sending them there.

"Stick with what scripture is teeaching you about God’s sovereignty for you are perceiving it properly. Only God knows why He chose some and not others… so all we can do is offer Him the praise, honor and glory He aone deserves."

And hope to God that your love one's are not predestined to burn in hell. For the Calvinistic god knows, if they are, you can't do a thing about it.

Cross your fingers.

"Then Yamil's cop-out is always..."

I was not sure whether to steal someone's fuzzy logic monicker.

Is'nt a copout when you refuse to answer a question. And since Abigail has not presented me with a any question, exactly how would I be copping out?

I guess her true colors are starting to come out.

I prescribe Abigail a good dictionary.

BTW Abigail, I think you are on the wrong thread.

Donnie wrote:

"By the way, the word election is in the Bible."

Your right. But it is "election" you will find, not the Calvinistic "unconditional election." Now that you will not find. To assume that everytime election appears it has to mean "unconditional election" its just as ridiculous as presuming it to be speaking of the presidential primaries.
_______________________________________

"This space is too small to quote all the texts that show clearly that election is a Biblical doctrine, freewill is not."

Oh really. Well allow me to invite you to a courteous road where you predecesors had no choice but to leave raging mad. Since there are so many passages that prove unconditional election, then if you would please pick the one which you think is the most convincing, the one that offers unsurmountable proof to the truth of unconditional election, and demonstrate to the reader from the immediate context how that must be so. I will then go on to using the same verse which YOU have chosen and give present the reader with the antithesis.

We can go all day verse launching but that will not edify noone, for one cannot use one perverted verse to justify another one.

I would think that there must be at least one verse which clearly reveals the truth of UnconEle
