Brando: If only it were that easy for you! You see, I can be offended 100's of miles from you now with modern technology. Truth be told, you don't care who you offend, as long as no one is telling you how to live your life.

AS for Romans 14. Okay. I would try to quote it all but there is a limitation on characters. And I am not sure what version you are using, but just for clarification I will be referring to the recieved text.

What you quoted speaks of food specifically, not drink. what I quoted speaks of drinking. Just for clarification of course.

unObservant: It is not humorous that you would quote your own opinion and a worldly show about drinking buddies over the Bible or other Christians.

Still, you have not quoted the gospel by which we are saved. You are at best a heretick, at worst unsaved. Point blank questions. Are you saved? If so, by what Gospel?

Alright. Let us all see where this really stands.

For all those Christians here that feel drinking is fine practice. I commit to you this:

Ro 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

I am that weak brother. If all these who say that alcohol is fine are actually concerned about brotherly love and pleasing God, then I compel you to follow after this verse. If there be no other brother in the world who is weak and offended other than me, the verse still stands in effect.

As a wise old pastor once said concerning the belief in the Book of Revelation, "It isn't so much that people have trouble understanding the Book of Revelation as it is people having trouble believing the Book of Revelation".

And I cannot help but to think of a quote of lyricist Gary Duty about the Blessed Old Book.

Well its critics are many
And Believers are few
But there's one thing,
Ive found to be true

If you find when you read it
That theres something wrong
Then theres something wrong,
with you!

UnObservant: You continue to debate doctrinal issues without a witness of your own salvation. Can you tell me what the Gospel is whereby one is saved?

Also, you seem to not only have trouble with Revelation, but also with the following books as well.

2 Corinthians 4:3-5 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the GOD OF THIS WORLD hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

1 Timothy 5:15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.

Lance: I knew that about Luther and the book of James, I had not heard that about Revelation. I will add that to my notes.

On this issue though, consider us to be one of Luther's more sensible companions.

UnObservent: Thanks for revealing why you really stand where you do. The Bible disagrees with your stand and so you take out those parts that disagree with you. Heretick. Grade A, bonafide, true to your cause, heretick.

You also never stated what the Gospel is.

Unobservant: You are gonna have one hard job on your hands to get many on this forum to agree with your Bible rejection.

Starting with me. You seem to be a heretick. How did this come about? Did you begin your Christian walk this way? Or were you led astray? Are you even born again?

Most importanly, let us begin with this, can YOU tell me what the Gospel is?

*** Note: Not in reference to previous comments, just the article.

It is about time!!! If one can only account the recent discovery that the dome of the rock and the temple are not on the same spot, and if one could add this two together....

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

"Even Roman Catholics might have a point. I've met many who are saved and no longer pray to Mary or the saints. They've stayed by choice as a light to their friends."

Our faith is about pleasing God first, then man if possible. Would it not be more pleasing to God for obedience? "Come out from among them, and be ye separate", "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."

I am all for witnessing, but I am for pleasing God first. What witness is half obedience and lukewarmness?

Vic: The global socialism is here in the schools. It has been since WWII at the latest...

Note: as a disclaimer i am including the fact that, no, I am not being rude (for all you false accusers of the brethren out there). just adding the opinion of a rural ky teacher on what is being taught to our children in the public schools!

Hope this adds and edifies vic.

Chris M: Your last post included, "Well we know from scripture that Jesus definitely didn't have long hair!"

Can you elaborate for this simple hillbilly?

Observer: Thanks for using a false alias. I have counted you as a devil, in line with your Father, the "false accuser of the brethren". Too bad you don;t have enough backbone to give your real moniker.

BTW, Observer, can you even tell me what the Gospel is? I have high doubts.

You know, you would have hated Paul and Jesus. For I am your definition of jerk, they would certainly have falling under that criteria. There were no others as straight-foward, unfaltering, in someones face, unwavering, to the point, black and white, let the truh be known preachers as those two.

Brandon: Actually, somehow I just posted that last message on the wrong thread. My mistake. It was actually in response to your last post on "Emerging Church: Beer and the Bible" on 3/1/07 9:17 AM.

Don't get so uptight man. Like I said, I agree with you. Just thought it funny that your whole point was to provie scripture for your points, and then you didn't provide scripture for that point. Its ok, really. It was, for once, in good humor.

I have found that "good humor" and light sarcasm are not as easily read as they are heard. In truth, a lot of people don't even get sarcasm at all....
Anyways, don't take it so personal, it wasn't even a mockery of you, just an amusing point of irony... which happened to be posted on the wrong thread. So once again, sorry for the confusion there.

Myriad: Good. I feel like Micaiah right now, speaking to Zedekiah. As for your divine personal revelation on which sin Paul hated worse, your opinion, as always, is bunk.

Mark M: If you don't feel like reading a few comments in order to find the point, then you wouldn't accept the point if it was handed to you. Not being cruel, just straight.

Myriad or John Kennedy or Whoever: It is good to know that you were aware of Paul's personal level of passions and temperment on various specific issues, and the degree to where he was against them. Let me know where I can get a hold of those divine revelations.

Myriad isn't funny... Okay, and?

And... "let sin abound so that I can scream Christian liberty" was based on your statement of "I'm gonna go have a beer to calm down."

If you disagree, so be it. Big whoop. Go have a beer and calm down.
