St James, in my Bible it says great multitudes. And then...

Luke 14:31-33 KJV
(31)  Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
(32)  Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
(33)  So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Oh sure, for many it is all too much, expecting such a sacrifice. And there I was thinking salvation was a free gift, and now Jesus wants so much from me. It is grossly unfair, and I'm not sure I could go along with that.

Matthew 19:21-22 KJV
(21)  Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
(22)  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

This has been repeated many times in the history of the church. Jesus costs too much.

Upon further contemplation of this subject.
When we attended SBC ‘churches’ the leadership we’re promoting BM and her sorcery in all their Sunday School classes and home Bible studies. So it was the MEN who brought in this Jezebel and her teachings and were oh sooo enamored with her.🤷‍♀️.
Plenty of blame on both sides of the fence.

Bro US (and Dan if you are still watching).

Allow me the privilege of thrilling your heart by showing you what conclusions over 100 pastors arrived at concerning the communion in 1689. Such joy.

CHAPTER 30; OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

Paragraph 1. The supper of the Lord Jesus was instituted by him the same night wherein he was betrayed, to be observed in his churches, unto the end of the world, for the perpetual remembrance, and showing to all the world the sacrifice of himself in his death, confirmation of the faith of believers in all the benefits thereof, their spiritual nourishment, and growth in him, their further engagement in, and to all duties which they owe to him; and to be a bond and pledge of their communion with him, and with each other.

Paragraph 2. In this ordinance Christ is not offered up to his Father, nor any real sacrifice made at all for remission of sin of the quick or dead, but only a memorial of that one offering up of himself by himself upon the cross, once for all; and a spiritual oblation of all possible praise unto God for the same. So that the popish sacrifice of the mass, as they call it, is most abominable, injurious to Christ's own sacrifice the alone propitiation for all the sins of the elect.

Please read it carefully.

Tim, you have used vague terms, 'anyone'. Rather than be specific which is crucial to distinguish which Jesus you promote. I know from your past comments you hold to Arminianism, which is why I call you out. Not 'anyone' can come, only the elect, the sheep will come. Vague terminology is a favorite of those who refuse to be specific. Another favorite tactic is the perfect doctrine nonsense, I suppose God isn't able to reveal truth? Using double speak and vague terms reveals truth has not gone down to the inner man, false accusations prove this as well. Have a great day

The last and final error is anything that comes out of her accursed mouth.
Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Good comment! And let me just add that if she preached a spiritual message according to the word of God, she still shouldn’t teach women or men.

If women are gathered together, isn’t that still a church? Many of the evangelical feminists on this forum will say: yes the women still constitute a church, but it is okay because the bible says “teach men”. That would be the same as saying it is okay to use heroin because the word heroin is not used in scripture.

They compartmentalize scripture and that is what gives the Beth Moore’s of this world credence. These women go home and teach their children and husbands this garbage.

Since I already know that most on this forum disagree with my thoughts and my thoughts are long and drawn out, I will only debate it using email.

Humble One,thumbs up.

if you decided to do the same thing for any PLanned Parenthood office in your area, you would have the police on your case in 10 min. the Mayors of these cities are not allowing their own police to enforce the normal rule of Law and Order. Christians in churches will have to decide to vote against these mayors, even run for office themselves, but in a place with so many liberals like Portland, Oregon, they may not be enough, so they will have to retreat.
Some churches have already been attacked, and you need to pray that this is "not coming to a neighborhood near you!"
And you need to know your mayor to determine if they would support violence like this.
What is happening--USA is dealing with a Guerrilla War waged by a paid army of terrorists. Some are veterans of the PLO from Israel, others are from Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba...all well trained in these violent actions.

First comment posted here says it all!
I will add that--even though some say-women can teach women, so they will let their sisters, wives, daughters, attend her conferences---it is not the same as what the New Testament teaches about 'older women teaching younger women' especially when you see her audience include women older than herself.
You could call this inclusion of 'social justice' as 'mission creep' where an idea in secular world gets into sermons, etc. Some sermons you would think are about psychology rather than God or Jesus Christ or the Bible.

Ladybug, I am not using doublespeak, nor am I being deceitful, and your continuing accusations are nothing but viciousness on your part. Anyone who comes to Jesus in repentance and faith for salvation receives salvation. If they “couldn’t” receive it, they wouldn’t. The fact that they did come and receive it proves that they could receive it and are elect. I don’t see how it could be any plainer, and there is not a word, let alone a verse, of scripture that denies or disproves what I have just said. I don’t know what your motive is in continuing this infernal baseless debate, but obviously it isn’t a desire to bring people to Christ.
Christ’s sheep, by the way, do follow Him. Unfortunately, sometimes they follow Him afar off (Mark 14:54), and sometimes they even go astray (Psalm 119:176). They not only go astray in deportment, but in demeanor and doctrine as well. If one of the “signs” of Christianity is having every iota of biblical doctrine nailed down without the least shadow of deviation, I doubt if there’s a Christian on earth today—unless perhaps you’re the only one.

The demoncratic party has determined that main street America is angry. They surmise the “angry right”, put Trump in office. Therefore, they put a soft socialist in office for 2 elections ( Obama), then clung to Bernie( a communist ) for 2 election cycles, fostering a voracious communist outpost in the Democratic Party. That outpost will envelope the Democratic Party, given a weakened mentality defective candidate Biden. It’s his pandering to the communists in his own party is what will give you a African American “Angels Davis” as your president. And you thought following the economic advice of the “economic wizard” Dr. Fauci was devastating to our nation, wait till the communists close churches for good, socialize commerce and do a gun grab that would make Hitler envious and put a secret police in every home- “ can you say, alexia who can I turn in my parents for counter revolutionary practices “- “ Yes, they will be hanged by means of a construction crane at noon tomorrow “. Vote Trump, he’s your Alamo. But , Pray for a battle of San Jacinto”

James Thomas wrote:
Faith is not the human ability to reason and make informed decisions.
St James, why then does Jesus tell us to make informed decisions before becoming a disciple?

Luke 14:25-30 KJV
(25)  And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
(26)  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
(27)  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
(28)  For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
(29)  Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
(30)  Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Here's a great sermon on the blood/righteousness of God-https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=7192016105600

"The truth is proclaimed and a **response is expected**. Apart from the grace of God that response will be one of rejection from those who are dead in trespasses and sins."
Does God expect a response, as if He didn't already know? As if He hasn't already ordained who would hear and who wouldn't? The Gospel is a proclamation, God doesn't wait around to see who responds, He already knows the outcome. More double speak....

1 Corinthians 10:20 KJV
(20)  But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

This is during his discourse on the Lord's Supper. Note,

"and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils; as all wicked men have, in the commission of any lust, sin, or immorality; and as all idolaters have in their superstitious practices, and idolatrous worship; and if grace prevent not, will have to all eternity in everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels; wherefore the apostle would have the Corinthians flee from idolatry, and all appearance of it, and abstain from eating things offered to idols, **of which they could not eat without having fellowship with devils**; this he says, to deter them from such practices, which must be very horrible and shocking, and bespeaks in him great care of them, and affection for them." Gill

Now Bro US, you see why I say there is far more to the communion than we have ordinarily been taught? There is the Lord's Table and a Devilish Table, and at the latter, the partaker fellowships with demons.

Therefore, at the Lord's Table, the partaker fellowships with........?

Here's another angle on this topic. Its mostly accepted that the just shall live by faith. But confusion comes on the source.

Paul teaches here...

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith....

Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood....

The blood of Christ is also a figure of faith, a feminine noun.... a possession. We do not “put our faith in Christ” as so many seem to believe. He puts His faith in us by means of the HS (feminine gender) to enable us to believe to the saving of our souls. *See Gal 2:20.* Paul did say he was the pattern.

Faith is not the human ability to reason and make informed decisions. Faith enables the possessor thereof to love God (Deut 6:5) which is the righteousness of the Zion covenant. Indeed, faith is righteousness because it is the blood of Christ.
