"I don’t have time to read this……..nor do I want to…."
Then don’t read it! But before you throw it down, you should know what it is about….it’s a gospel tract about the good news of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Now (at this moment) I’m gonna get into your head and try to think the way you are probably thinking, I was once a lost sinner, that is how I used to think. When you saw and read the Name Jesus Christ, THAT NAME repelled and turned you away from any interest in what I am about to write, which (by the way) is the root cause and symptom of a much deeper disease of which you suffer. Now you’re thinking….what disease? I’m not sick! THAT, my friend is your problem! You ARE in fact sick and dying, and you are oblivious to it! FORGET YOU! I’M NOT SICK! Besides that, I don’t have time for all that Jesus stuff! And, on top of that, all of the churches (out there) are full of hypocrites! I am a good person, I don’t need Christ or the church, I’ve never committed murder or anything like that, I think I’ll be ok, if there is a God, He will see that I’ve been a good person. Ok then, let’s just leave it at that…YOU DON’T NEED CHRIST, so I will tell you nothing more about the good news of why Jesus Christ came into the world. You have it all figured out, right? Churches are all full of hypocrites, so why find a church where the Bible or gospel is preached? Based on your opinion of yourself, you’re a good person, you’ve never committed any horrible sins. According to you, YOU WILL BE OK when your heart stops, when you die. Since you have it all figured out, YOU TELL ME what will happen when you die. Will your life just evaporate into thin air? Keep reading, don’t worry, I will keep my promise to NOT tell you about Jesus Christ and the gospel, since you don’t need Christ, but tell me this before you drop this tract or throw it in the trash… Have you ACTUALLY thought about death? You may not believe in God, Jesus Christ, or the gospel, and you may not care (at all) that you’ve sinned against God, but you have to believe in death right? YOU MUST KNOW that YOU WILL DIE! I mean, you see and hear about death every day; you’ve even experienced death (up close) when it has come to your family and your friends. Death is a reality! You might not want to think about or face death, but one day, it’s gonna face you! Wouldn’t you like to hear from someone who went through death already? A person who could tell you what to expect? Here is my last question, and then I will leave you to your personal thoughts: How will you face death when it comes to you? Death is coming, but in your present state of mind, when you die, you will be entering a great unknown. I will leave you with this….gonna break my promise a little……at this point, with YOUR DEATH in mind, do you still think that you don’t need Jesus Christ, the good news of the gospel and forgiveness for your sins? Before I leave you, if you read this far, don’t be a fool and leave your questions about death unanswered. Don’t forget, you will meet death “personally and up close” when God ends your life and calls for your soul. If you REALLY want to know how to be freed from death and from your sins: The Gospel of St John 5:24-25. If you throw this tract in the trash NOW after reading all of this, the disease, (which I mentioned earlier) just got worse, if you continue to disregard the good news of Jesus Christ and the gospel, there’s nothing but bad news coming for you. I will leave to you to your thoughts.
Yep, we know that many churches are full of hypocrites, you’ll probably find some here….but we don’t want to be hypocrites, we want to be genuine lovers of Christ and lovers of souls.
