Ferdie Cassel and the members of Truth Baptist Church would like to thank Yvette Landreneau and her family in Lacomb, La. for her help and guidance in getting Bro. God has given us plentiful manna and sound preaching, so take advantage while there's still time. Christ loves and saves lost sinners, praise His name.
It is with sadness yet rejoicing we announce the home going of Bro. Richard Heigl, Pastor of Truth Baptist Church, on 16 April, 2022 to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. He longed for this day, spoke often of it, and incorporated it into almost every message he preached for almost 50 years. The Lord used him to preach Christ crucified to the lost and dying and I praise God for his friendship, mentoring, and love. He never wavered from God's word in pointing me to the Lord Jesus Christ alone, his righteousness, and precious blood as my only hope and plea for now and eternity. Praise you Lord for saving my soul. Bro. Richard gave away countless Bibles over the years, each with a scripture laden preface about our Lord and culminating with John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." Sinner friend, what a gracious invitation. Please be in prayer for the Heigls and the Truth Baptist Church family.
