“And then, while they beheld, He was taken up into the highest heavens”. The exalted man Jesus Christ. We must emphasize that Jesus the Mediator went up to God with a shout of triumph. He returned to the glory he had with the Father ere the world was. God, clothed with man, is our Savior. And God, clothed with us, ascended. God opened the doors of heaven to us when Jesus ascended.
"Ye gates, lift your heads the glad summons obey! Ye doors everlasting, wide open the way!” And why? “The King of all glory shall enter in state!”
God and man are reconciled in Christ Jesus, the Son of God and Son of Man; the King of all glory.
