Just a short thought today...It is so easy as a Christian to forget that the antagonistic or even hedonistic person is not our enemy. We do not fight against flesh and blood but against the principalities and powers, the rulers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We hear of those who desire to push a deadly and demonic deception upon humanity, and we become righteously angry. However, we need to remember that apart from God's grace, we would be in the same rebellious position as they currently are.
Is it any surprise that those who have suppressed the obvious truth of God (Romans 1) for so long that they are no longer able to see truth (1 Corinthians 2:14) and let alone any spiritual truth (John 3:10-21; 2 Corinthians 4:4). We need to keep praying for these people's eyes to be opened to the truth.
Here is something I posted on Facebook and Twitter...it was Albert Mohler's commentary that has brought these thoughts back to the front of my thinking.
"Though a pre-18 yr old cannot decide to buy a alcohol or cigarettes, the fact that so many believe they should be able to permanently alter their sex (or so it is claimed...though biologically impossible), is beyond incredible. They are not considered adult enough to purchase a gun, vote, etc., yet they should be able to choose to have an irreversible and drastic life-altering surgery...shame on those who support such a view...and yet, is it any surprise that those who are blinded by sin are unable to see such simple truths?"
May the Lord go with you into battle today, and I pray that your eyes will be able to see past the person whom the enemy is using, to see the enemy and his angels. May the Lord grant victory today.
