God greatly blessed the recent trip to Cameroon (West Africa). Two weeks of this trip were spent ministering in Bamenda, Cameroon to Navigator leaders, pastors, ministers and their wives. I was thrilled to see the zeal and seriousness of the attendees. All team members labored hard, with each speaking four times a day. Below is a short description of how the time was spent in Bamenda. I will update you on more specifics in the future but wanted to go ahead and provide an overview of this portion of the Cameroon mission trip.
During the first week of our time in Bamenda, we were joined by Rich and Kathy Smith and Dan McCollum - all whom have previously ministered in Africa with GCI. After a seven hour drive overland through central Cameroon, we all arrived in Bamenda. In addition to the main sessions preached by myself, both Dan and Rich taught various workshops on practical discipleship as well as essential doctrines of the faith. Additionally, Eleanor and Kathy led sessions for the wives in attendance on topics such as the Christian's obedience in action. The Bible was upheld as God's Holy Word, and His people were exhorted to submit to its commands.
After Rich, Kathy, and Dan left for Yaounde, Cameroon on the first leg of their return trip to the United States, Eleanor and I continued to minister for another week in Bamenda. God greatly blessed your prayers during this time, and by your faith, your gifts and your prayers were all put to work and all bore fruit. Please continue to pray for Hope Baptist Church, the other Baptist and Reformed churches who participated in the conference and for the Navigator ministry which works so hard to equip leadership in these various churches.
