Today, there is some weird notion that there is a great divide between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. This is one of the reasons why we shouldn't listen to unbelievers concerning Scripture. They claim that the God of the OT is wrathful and vengeful, He doesn't exhibit love or care. But they miss verses like Malachi 3:6 "For I the Lord do not change, therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed."
On the opposite end of the spectrum they view the God of the NT as loving and weak on judgement. And miss verses like John 8:24-26, "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins... I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you..."
Are you able to explain the full and balanced nature of who God is to others? Are you able to explain that God is a God of love and yet is also a God of judgement? Are you able to explain that God is a God of forgiveness but also a God of justice? That is the topic in today's Ministry Moment with Pastor John Samuel Barnett - do you balance the nature of God in your service?
