Loneliness of Christ

“ Great Sermon! ”
This preaching is not of the head but of the heart. Hearing the loneliness, the humanity and the excellency of Christ has left me enlightened, grateful and strengthened in my faith to gladly partake of the sufferings of Christ and to rejoice in following the Lord’s footsteps on the road of loneliness, rejection, opposition and hatred.

“ Great Sermon! ”
It is a delight to find a sermon that presents sound eschatology in a passage that has aroused many conflicts in interpretation in church history. I believe this sermon can shed light for church leaders and members when they hit a tough spot in understanding the final chapter of Zechariah.

“ Thank you for sharing! ”
This message has spurred me on to once again be totally consecrated to the Lord and to devote everything I do to God. I appreciate how the preacher thoroughly explained the spiritual reality behind the symbolic pictures of Zechariah 14:20-21 and also brought out practical applications to live as Christians: “For Christian, there is no distinction between the sacred and the secular. Our whole lives and every single aspect of our lives are supposed to be separated unto God. If we can’t say what we say in the Name of the Lord Jesus, we shouldn’t say it. If we can’t do what we do in the Name of the Lord Jesus, don’t do it” (Quote from this message). This excellent exhortation of doing everything as an act of worship to God and to be holy to the Lord also reminded me of the lyrics of the hymn “Take My Life, and Let It Be. Consecrated, Lord, to Thee”.

“ Great Sermon! ”
A line from the sermon, “Heaven is going to be absolute perfect peace. Hell is going to be absolute turmoil, lack of peace and lack of rest”, is a great comfort for believers who are going through difficulties or suffering for righteousness in this perverse and crooked generation. This sermon is a good reminder of one of the great blessings of being a Christian - to have “complete peace, union, harmony inside of us, and with every other person and with the whole creation (Quote from this sermon)”. I was also touched by the story of Corrie Ten Boom shared here.

“ Great Sermon! ”
The preacher has brilliantly pointed out the references for the Lord Jesus in Zechariah 2:7-11, 3:8-9, 6:11-13, 9:9-10, and drew connection to Matthew 26:14-16 and 27:3-10 as a fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesy. I like how this sermon distinguished the true Israel dealt with in Zechariah 10 and the physical Israel dealt with in Zechariah 11, and referred to Deuteronomy 4:5-9 in demonstrating the great blessings and grace Israel was shown by receiving the Ten Commandments that also gave people a good sense of how lightly people esteemed God’s mercy and the judgement to come. This is very good teaching.

“ Good teaching! ”
The clear explanation of concepts such as priest, God's wrath, and the nature of sacrifice has helped me better understand what is biblical propitiation. This sermon is a very good presentation of the Gospel.

“ Glorious confirmation ”
Once again a very timely message that confirms so many attributes of Christ, so many details of the Cross and give us so many more reasons to worship, praise and obey our precious Lord. I feel like I just took a few more steps in my sanctification. Climbing higher and deeper, higher and deeper in the upward call of Christ.

“ The Sovereignty of our God ”
Brother Jeffery........I spoke to you this afternoon, just listened to this message, and, I thank our God for the truth with Godly boldness that you are proclaiming the gospel of God's Sovereign Grace in the election of His children. This is a very sobering message that we can only say, for it seemed good in your sight Lord,Jesus. May we bow down to His Mercy and Justice with His own.....Hope to fellowship with you and the saints in whom God has intrusted you with. In Christ, Kathy
