Great Sermon! Pastor I've finally found your online sermons. Thanks for your hard work and dedication. Without the congregations fellowship my family wouldnt be whole.
Great Sermon! I want to strongly recommend this sermon, it's by a Ruling Elder, Keith Phillips, and is extremely convicting particularly for members and congregations that like Ephesus may be orthodox, but might be in danger of having lost their first love.
Great Sermon! I appreciated this message so much - and I just "happened" to look it up on SermonAudio.com and it just "happened" to really be what I needed on this very day. Thank you!
I stumbled on this list via the Aquila Report and took the link to the full article. Yours is very wise counsel.
Thank you for the excellent list. I too have been counseling couples pre and post nuptials for more than 30 years. Most of the points are a part of my counsel, though you included one I have never used (eating out - good point, btw, but I will think about it some more).
One you did not mention that I always mention is a recommendation to tithe. I am no legalist about it, trust me, but when families give regularly and systematically to the Lord it strengthens the conviction of Who really owns the things within the household.
You might consider including this suggestion in your helpful - important list.
These are all excellent. The Family worship one could go futher, though, to include hymns and some catechism as well (see Don Whitney's book on this topic for more ideas)
Super Presentation of Truth Excellent presentation of truth with a serious challenge toward determining how to brimg back early Christianity to our church and by extension society.
Relevant for Current Controversies! The title of this sermon and its doctrine look familiar enough to all Protestants since the Reformation, especially among Reformed or Calvinistic churches, yet it is shockingly the most controversial, debated, and assaulted doctrine in this present day. Listening to this written message by Archibald Alexander will help clear up the present controversies and heretical notions of various degrees plaguing OPC and PCA Presbyterians, Sovereign Grace and Reformed Baptists, especially in regards to subjects like the New Perspectives on Paul, Federal Vision, Justification from Eternity, and many more errors that have crept in subtlely. A. Alexander is certainly worthy to be appealed to for help in clarifying this foundational doctrine of the Christian faith.
Great Sermon! Pastor Andy Webb does an excellent job relating the text in Jeremiah to the 21st century through the pomp and circumstance of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate. To those who have been infatuated with the wedding they will be challenged to reconsider how they think about the wedding. Moreover his ability to relate the text to the NT helpful.
Great Sermon! "Too Reformed" I know exactly what you mean, and if you stand for the Covenant in Jesus Christ that is another strike against you. Praise GOD that we are considered worthy to actually be criticized for the holding out the truth of Jesus Christ and the Covenant sealed in His blood. Thank you. Alice
Convicting Message It's so tempting to prefer the lie when it provides temporary pain relief. Thank God for modern day Jeremiah's like Pastor Webb who refuse to heal our wounds lightly!
Great Sermon! Very interesting sermon! Robert defends his case on infant baptism where Covenant Theology is the strongest one: by examining the New Covenant itself.
