Incredible! The more I hear this dear brother preach, the more I am impressed. This kind of bold delivery is getting more and more rare even in our Reformed Baptist Circles. The applications are "spot on," but admittedly this is not easy to hear. The indelible impression is made and who cannot but mourn, Woe is me. Especially as we are affected by the affluence of our American culture.
A much needed sermon is an understatement.
Great Sermon! This is a heart searching sermon. I don't know what it is about the young Irish preachers, whether Free Presbyterian or Reformed Baptist, but - son - they can preach! The conviction of the preacher to the subject and the no nonsense way of "screwing the truth into people's minds" as the puritan Baxter called it, makes this excellent preaching. May God give us grace to apply these principals and as Pastor Briggs says in the message, we see that apart from Christ's righteousness we are undone because we fall so far short.
Great Sermon! I was blessed to be among the hearers in church yesterday when you preached this sermon. What an incredible blessing it was to me, both challenging and greatly encouraging. What a joy to be reminded of where our righteouness is found. It hit me in a new way yesterday and came at the perfect time.
Thank you Pastor Crawford. We are always blessed to hear you preach at IBC.
Thank you! John Newton is my favorite biography, and CT Studd is my favorite missionary biography. I have treasured his testimony (and that of his wife) for over 20 years! Thank you so much for sharing his story at IBC. Oh, how my heart wishes that more of us knew more of such blessed missionaries.
Great Sermon! Wonderful! I Apreciate your taking the time to address this issue from a well rounded point of view. Thank you for your helpful insights.
A guarantee of true peace! There are not many messages today that point as a reminder to the body of Christ to walk with the Lord, and also that show just what that means. This sermon shows us just what should take place after salvation and why we all should strive to enter into a daily relationship with the Lord. A must listen sermon!
Definitely food for thought When I read Carol's post I was initially concerned, worried that this was going to be a talk about the true Israel being the Church i.e. Replacement Theology, but I needn't have worried. Jim gives a very interesting and thought-provoking talk that will challenge most of us to re-read our bible again and reassess our own views of Israel perhaps. I'm a Christian Zionist, and it was important for me to look at other uses of the term "Israel" in God's word, which I'd previously glossed over and not given much thought too. Well worth a listen.
Great Sermon! What a blessing to hear such a clear and simple to understand message on just who is the "true" Israel of God and to be able to follow the continuous thread from the Old Testament through to the New Testament! Very timely indeed! Let us hear more of this message!
Great Preacher Is This The William G Huhges who was the preacher at South Glasgow Baptist Church and is now preaching in U.S.A. now ? LET ME KNOW and pass on my email to Bill(tell him i am now saved :-)
Great Sermon! Mr. Wakefield:
I'm a Christian author and quadriplegic. Your sermon kept me glued to my computer. Sir, I have never heard the prayer of Habakkuk so clearly illuminated. Wow! Your sermon slid me out of my wheelchair and into the heart of Habakkuk. Then...out of Habakkuk's heart and into the arms of our Lord.
Thank you.
In His Grip,
Mary Cox-Bilz
Truly a blessing!! What a wonderful blessing is God's Word! The Prince of Peace came and spoke peace to my heart through this message and this messenger. May God bless both the message as it is listened to in the future to the bringing of peace to His dear children, and may He bless the messenger richly for his faithful laors in the Word on behalf of the souls of God's people. All glory to God!
