Great Sermon! This is exactly what we need to hear right now. Excellent and timely message of our current situation. We may yet experience times such as Jeremiah’s but we have a God who will bring us through it. Stand for Jesus!! Thank you Dr Thomas.
Great Sermon! I recently found this godly man, Dr. Thomas and I have since listened to him every day. I'm old, 81, so I can say this, I love this man of God. His gentle, humble spirit is so beautiful. He makes me wonder how beautiful Jesus will be. Thank you for all your devotions and sermons. I hope I never run out.
In Christ, Carol Patrick
Great Sermon! This was really good. Helpful but very challenging. There is an interesting link to Psalm 44 which is then quoted but PAul in Romans 8
Hope and Joy This is just what a Resurrection Day sermon should be. How can we not be focused on the hope in Christ’s resurrection that is our promise through Him? Especially now! Thank you very much.
A Dead Dog Eats with the King! Dr. Davis gives us a wonderful exposition from 2 Samuel 9...the story of lame Mephibosheth!
Bonus in the sermon: Dr. Davis gives us the New Testament equivalent of Psalm 23:1!
Great 30 minutes spent in the Word of God.
Excellent! Wow! This, though preCovid, really applies and offers an excellent encouragement to all suffering in these hard years. Dr. Davis here does a great job providing a great perspective on any suffering or distress and points to God and His wonderfully gracious providence.
Great Sermon! Yes in some respects these circumstances in Nehemiahs times shows a little of the problem of the love of money in that a few were extracting high interest rate. However a lot of people suffer from the love of money which may have resulted in them needing to borrow and put their families in need.
Great Sermon! Great series. I remember when you first came to First Pres and succeeding Sinclair Ferguson when he retired. It’s meant several years of precious spiritual growth for me throughout the years, Thank you for your knowledge, your sense of humor in your preaching and your devotion to Jesus.
Commitment, Contentment, Confidence A wonderful exposition of Psalm 16; Dr. Davis gives us a good study and application of these words of David.
He also emphasizes the beauty of Christ's resurrection in verse 10, and how the man after God's own heart anticipated a greater Son who would not see decay and who would preserve not just our souls but our bodies for His glory.
Good sermon, but must be listened to more than once and very carefully to glean all the good fruit! :) (like most good sermons!)
Great Sermon! I listened to this today because I was searching for answers to stress. As always, God directs my steps even when I don’t know it. I neeeed a reminder that nothing in my hands I bring, simply to thy cross I cling. And this was it. I am also going to re-read my Pilgrims Progress. Thank you Lord for the preachers you place in our reach to help us through the hill difficulty.
