“ Great Sermon! ” I have listened to this message a few times. I am convicted of my mediocre life in Christ. I am grateful to God for godly men like LR .. What I like about his sermons best is while he teaches me to purify myself and seek holiness, he points me to Christ, and to worship Him..
“ Great reminder. ” I listened again to this message today, and it was again a real blessing for my soul and a great reminder of what the Lord can do in a heart!
“ Great blessing. ” I listened again to this message. It touched deeply my heart and it was like a balm of Gilead for my heart. So thankful to the Lord for that!
“ Great Sermon! ” One of the best Preachers my ancestors had the honor to know, and I have the honor to listen to via this website. He is truly missed. I wish we had 10,000 Preachers like Brother Lester Roloff. He truly was a Modern Day Moses, but under grace instead of the law. May God raise up God-fearing men and put them behind our pulpits again.
“ Great blessing. ” Heart challenging message, humbling message, very useful for my heart today. I thank the Lord for all His dealing with my soul, in order to make me more clean and more holier.
“ My daughter was just saved from listening to this!!! ” We met Roy a few years ago in western New York. My daughters listen to Sermon Audio while on the treadmill. Now my sixteen-year-old has come to me and shared the wonderful news that this message showed her that she had the same testimony—“saved” at seven but no new heart. I can already tell the difference; she is at peace and has a joy I’ve never seen in her! :-) Praise the Lord for making this tool for the Holy Spirit to use in my daughter’s conversion!
“ Great work of God. ” Blessed new life and new testimony brought by the Lord Jesus' work in the soul. Oh, that the Lord may do it again in our life time!
“ Great blessing. ” Oh, what a God sent message was this sermon this day for my heart! Oh, Lord, I know, I see, that You cannot send revival here because of me! Oh, have mercy, and touch my life, purify me and fill me with Your Holy Spirit!
“ Great test. ” Yes, this is the real test: do we really want revival? Are we ready to pay the price for it? Are we realy-realy praying for it? Good, challenging message.
“ Great Sermon! ” I was there. It was around 1992-1994. It was at the North Dallas Sectional Meeting for pastors of the Assemblies of God, at Garland First Assembly of God in Garland, Texas. E Wayne Hanks was the pastor of the church and District presbyter and Dr. Mike Smalley had invited him to the meeting. He declined at first and said that he no longer took invitations to preach because of his age. Later, he said God woke him up in the middle of the night to pray and told him to go. I remember observing Ravenhill sitting in the chair on the platform and praying into his fist during the 30 minutes of praise and worship and introductions. Dr. Mike Smalley helped him to the pulpit and he leaned on it as he was weak in his legs. I was on the front row and the two pastors that he rebuked were sitting behind me two rows back and they were talking to each other in whispers and seemed to be laughing about things during the whole time Ravenhill was preaching. It was obvious that they were somewhere else mentally and I found it odd that they were not giving Ravenhill their rapt attention. It was at the end of the sermon that he rebuked them and I was glad. I knew that they needed it. I did not understand why they did not sense the Holy Spirit telling them that this was an historic moment.
