Great Sermon! A lot of well meaning preachers seem to get this wrong.Technically speaking, a revival is something that happens in the church among God's people and only secondarily affects the community surrounding it. One could argue that revival took place in Jonah's heart, but if that were the case where was his heart for the Ninevites? He still hated them and was disappointed that God saved them. (Jon.3:10 - 4:1) No doubt there was an outpouring of his Spirit and a Great work, but if there was no church to pour out his Spirit on, then there was no revival.
Excellent Sermon! This Sermon was indeed such a blessing to my soul. I think it would be a great blessing to anyone, but particularly to those dealing with difficult trials, sorrow, or depression.
Great Sermon! I always have to comment after i hear a wonderful sermon or testimony so other people looking will listen. This is a most excellent testimony of how salvation works, about how the sinners prayer isn't a method of salvation, nor is the manditory alter call. I was a false convert in a false religious system for years and i just love to hear of other people's conversions and their coming out from under these systems. Praise God!
Great Sermon! How the Puritans handled this topic is one of the many reasons why they are still such important contributors to our understanding of God's Word to this day. Thank you, Dr. Beeke, for your thouroughness in presenting this message.
Great Physician I was sitting in a cancer hospital hurting as a patient when I tuned in and this was the lesson. It was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment. I wept as I listened to the truth of God in the context of prescious Kayla's life. This lesson was ordained of God to strengthen me in time of personal weakness. Thank you for your openness and words.
Great Sermon! Great memories, great teaching, great God.
Re-develop our ardor !!!
Keep our eyes on where we came from, fullest expression
of our love for God, Christ, and One another, the truth,
the lost !!! Amen.
Great Sermon! Thank you Pastor. It was very helpful for you to discern between when we ought not judge others but judge ourselves first, and when we ought to judge others in order to not profane the gospel as cheap grace. Very helpful in my life right now.
Grace from first to last. Beautiful Sermon, Pastor Hughes.
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied (filled)." Matt 5:6
May the God of grace and peace through our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
