Valid and clear-cut observations This message provides an accurate, and a comprehensive description of the shortcomings of this popular –ism of our day. Many fellowships are ‘coolly’ infested with the attitudes of this movement in different degrees. It seems appropriate to ponder what new ills this philosophy will yield in the years to come. Certainly, it does not seem it will harvest godliness. Thank you for the clarity exercised when listing the six main concerns about the movement. 1. Focus: It embraces too much because it emphasizes too little. 2. Vulgarization. 3. Lack of separation: Worldliness is not an issue, 4. Confusion about the basics:Participants blank out any comments or questions and prove unsympathetic to further reformation. 5. Rejection of the law in reference to sanctification, 6. Worship: Culture, background or taste determines valid music styles independently from the lyrics; music styles are neither good nor bad, endorsing no absolutes.
Great Sermon! Thank you for blessing me with TheTruth. I am in the hospital to night with a child that has just had brain surgery. I found your sermon while he is sleeping. I am reminded of our merciful Father who loves us so much by your words. You are right social media can be used for great wrong but tonight it has blessed a lady in a hospital far away. God bless you and your people as you continue on. Tammy
Great Sermon of Comfort Having the Knowledge that God Provides for us + Protects us as His Sheep is not just a Comfort but a Truth to hold on to especially for those times of trial in our lives - thoroughly enjoyed listening to this Sermon
Great Sermon! We need to know we are all one in Christ, separated by time and space but not by spirit, I was so moved and edified by this great sermon, by our great book given to us for the purpose of our understanding, while the world is moving towards destruction, we need always remember we are all one, one God, one savior, one church
Great Sermon! A good speaking voice, perfecting paced and clearly articulated. Using biblical examples, the preacher clearly demolishes the Pentecostal teaching of faith healing and that all sickness is the result of sins.
Great Sermon! Having respect to the recompense of the reward will have:
1.Power to occupy the mind for good.(2 Cor.4;15-16)
2.Power to carry us through suffering.
(V.17)
3.Power to lessen the things of this
world.(2 Cor. 4:18)
4.Power to resist Satan.(Eph.6:11)
5 Power to cleansed ourselves from
sin.(1 John 3:2)
6.Power to sympathize with suffering
believers(Heb.10:34)
Application:
Warning:
A failure to follow Moses and spiritual things leads to apostasy.
(Phil. 3:17) (2Tim.4:10)
Exhortation:
Keep your mind much in heaven.
Dreadful sinfulness turn us away from the such a reward.(Heb.10:29)(Heb.2:3)
Eye given against sin.
Marvelous part is to see and understand the counsel and will of God
The believers shalllike Moses and shall see the face of God and be like Christ.(Rev.22:4)(1John 3:2)

Very pertinent sermon Pastor Kirkland takes you into the book of Jeremiah and warns against sins that are ravishing the Reformed churches today. He references the "remnant", which many claim to be in the Reformed churches today, and the sins they were guilty of, which led to their judgment. Feminism is a wicked and pernicious sin that stalks the church today, and is often manifested in the clothing styles worn. Thank you for the warning, Pastor Kirkland.
Great Sermon! Dear Robert, yes I do use the three fold divison of the law. I am aware that the new view is to deny it (as in NCT).
First. it is evident that Hebrews refers to the ceremonial regulations and not to the moral law.
Second, the fact that God sepecifically wrote the ten words on stone which were placed in the ark. This is not so with the judicial or ceremonial.
Third, it it evident that God dictated the judicial and ceremonial to Moses who proceeded to repeat them before the people. Hence the reference to covering and uncovereing his face as he went up and down the mountain.
These are just a few pointers.
I direct you to the WCF/BCF and Savoy which are all in agreement on this point with the various commentaries thereon.
Question Thank you for your sermon pastor Kirkland, you seem to be using the threefold division of the law in your sermon (Moral, Ceremonial, Civil) I wonder could you please tell me where in scripture you get the authority to divide the law thus?
Thanks!
useful and encouraging message In today's climate this message is most valuable and should be a must hear by any involved in public witness especially
Great Sermon! What is a real Christian? What is the real Christian life?....What is it that makes the Christian identifiable? The law of God is embedded in the very fabric of being a Christian. False professors and all antinomian's take great heed to this word. Christian be encouraged and assured by it!
