Jesus,a sinners only saviour. Thanks Pastor,a reminder of the cost of our salvation,
Not redeemed with corruptible things etc..
But with the precious blood of Christ.
Great Sermon! Essential sermon on this important subject. Really recommend this for anyone who does not know about this heretic movement. Can I add the name of Alan hirsch tim Keller and tim chesters ( the porter brook movement). Watch out for buzz words like missional, post modern etc. if you are reading a Christian book and it is almost too intellectual to make head or tail of its probably emergent.
Keep warning the flock pastor !
Great Sermon! Pastor,
I listened to several of your sermons today and very much enjoyed this interesting sermon on observing what often seems to be spiritual qualities in unsaved people. I strongly disagree with your comment that "common grace" is the reason for this. How can one believe in God's providential and sovereign control of the universe and of the saved elect and not consider that the attributes of the unsaved are due to God's will and providence in their life. Grace is only particular and not common and applies only to the elect. Good personal attributes or any form of personal wealth that enable the unsaved to enjoy and be admired in this life is not grace and is not working for their eternal good. Thank you for your work in the Lord, Karen
Refuting errors. Excellent refutation of emergent church errors: that there is no absolute truth and that truth cannot be known; the wrong views on substitutionary atonement, hell, judgment and salvation. Great help in the extensive use of Biblical texts.
Good refutation of heresy. Emerging church is post-modern, denying absolute truth; it is a social Gospel, not preoccupied with the salvation of individuals from sin, but with making a better world and happier people; and is interested in mysticism, not doctrine.
