Useful. It was good to watch this video. I thank the Lord for this testimony. You are doing a very good and pleasing work in the eyes of the Lord. Go on, brothers!
Great Sermon! Minister Thackway, I just wanted to comment on this sermon as being so well needed today. Your sermon is full of truths that are barely touched on in our churches today..My heart aches for the hypocrisy and false piety performed among Christian leaders in these last critical hours of the church age. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Good message from 2 Samuel. Glad that there are a few Pastors who still open up the O.T. and dig the treasures. P.S. Your audio and video are crystal clear over here Stateside. You are probably the first man in Scotland whom I have understood each word.
Normally I miss at least 1/3 of each sentence. 😉 Well done!
Great Sermon! Good to hear a fellow evangelist not afraid to stand in a public square and proclaim the Good News of a bleeding and dying Christ for sin. Glasgow used to have a God honoring banner across the city: Let Glasgow flourish in the name of the Lord until some godless civic leaders changed it to: Let Glasgow flourish, removing the reference to God. Glasgow is a godless city that needs a Saviour from sin. Pray for this voice crying in the wilderness of that concrete jungle of sin and vice.
Blessed testimony. It was interesting to listen to this report. I am thankful that the Lord put on this man's heart to help those brothers in Moldova and serve the Lord among them. May the Lord bless his efforts with much spiritual fruits for His glory!
Great Sermon! This beautiful exposition of Luke 10:38-42 shows the nature of true Christian service. Jesus did not criticize Martha for showing hospitality, but for allowing work to eclipse what would have brought Christ more delight and honor: her love, her worship, and her eagerness to sit at His feet and hear His word. When service and good works become an end in themselves and don't flow from love and delight in Christ, when time in His presence takes a back seat to "getting the job done", or when we labor mainly to win the praise of men, then "service" becomes a burden that distracts us from Christ and may even, as with Martha, lead to frustration and anger with Christ, if we blame Him for the weight of a cross He never laid upon us. The labor God rewards is directed towards Christ in love; it is the overflow of our worship and will deepen rather than hinder our fellowship with Him. Mary of Bethany got it right! Christ Himself is our portion, and His promise to her that the good part she had chosen would not be taken from her is His promise to all who make love for our Savior and time in His presence and His word the foundation of their service to others. What we do in union with Christ is what truly glorifies God and brings life and blessing to others, and to our own souls as well.
