Great Sermon! An excellent sermon which shows that, apart from faith in Christ, even those works which outwardly conform to God's law are sinful, because they are not done with a heart of faith and love towards God, but are done for some other reason. Therefore, we must not rely on our good works of philanthropy, church going, Bible reading or prayer for salvation, but only upon Christ.
"An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin." (Proverbs 21:4)

Great Sermon! "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.Â
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." (Romans 8:5-6)
Is your mind carnal, or spiritual? In this sermon Pastor Beers asks questions, the answers to which will give insight into the true state of each one's mind and heart before God.
Outstanding Sermon! An outstanding sermon filled with much needed scriptural instruction and exhortation for parents and church members. Don't miss this one!
Great Sermon! "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?" (Luke 9:23-25)
Is self love at the root of our unwillingness to speak the truth to our loved ones? Are we so afraid of losing our relationships in this life that we are willing to lose them eternally as our loved ones slip into hell? What unloving Christians we are to not speak the truth to those who so desperately need to hear it!
"Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him." (Leviticus 19:17)Â
Great Sermon! An excellent defense of the doctrine of election! If you're interested in exploring this doctrine, this is a great sermon with which to begin!
Excellent Sermon! "If it be inquired, then, by what things chiefly the Christian religion has a standing existence amongst us, and maintains its truth, it will be found that the following two not only occupy the principal place, but comprehend under them all the other parts, and consequently the whole substance of Christianity; a knowledge, first, of the mode in which God is duly worshipped; and, secondly, of the source from which salvation is to be obtained."
In our humanistic, man-centered age, these words of John Calvin seem strange. We consider the salvation of men to be of supreme importance, and the worship of God to be a means to this end. However, this is a backwards view of things, which must be abandoned. We are saved in order that we might worship the true and living God in Spirit and in truth, according to His own appointment, and not according to our own desires.
Pastor Beers clearly sets forth the requirements of the Second Commandment, which forbids anything in the worship of God not expressly appointed by God Himself. Be sure to listen to this critically important sermon!
Passionate Sermon! A blessing to listen to this farewell sermon. A final passionate plea to take hold of the God of grace. Every blessing Gavin, to you and your family in the days ahead.
Great Sermon! Thank you for this. Sometimes I get so discouraged by the people in my life and their disinterest in God, His Gift, their eternal destiny, etc.
Much needed message I needed to hear this tonight. My time is uncertain right now, but it is in God's hand. Thank you Lord for this message. I pray that it will be greatly used to help others.
"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." Psalm 56:3
Great Sermon! Fantastic sermon, especially the section of sins on the sabbath, and the severity of first table sins. My wife and I have listened to this about a half dozen times in the past two weeks. May God continue to bless your preaching.
Great Sermon! Very helpful sermon. The whole series on self-denial has been a blessing and a challenge to me. Praise God for His Son who denied Himself for our sakes.
Great Sermon! I love this voice, wedded as it is to the gospel! Delightful message on this powerful text of Scripture! Thanks so much, Gavin! Praying for your work in Ayr!
Encouraging Sermon! When everything in our life is going well we might have a tendency to underevaluate how powerful is the Love of God in our life. But when affliction, tribulation and suffering enters into our world, we should flee to a closeness to understand the strength of God's love for us and give more dependence on depending on God to give us strength. His love cannot be overcome by anything so we must study the Holy Scriptures more deeply for the strength to endure, which He does give us as His children.
Listen to this! Our weakness shows up most in the place of prayer. We hardly know how to articulate what we need. But we have the comforting promise that the Spirit is interceding for us according to God's will. And if we pray according to God's will, we have the petitions that we asked. What an encouragement to pray!
Uplifting and refreshing! I highly recommend this refreshing look at the Lord's day. There sre so many holy activities to keep us busy that we won't miss our other activities. The secret to refrreshing and reviving our souls comes from a proper use of the day the Lord has given us as a "market day" for our souls.
