“ Great Sermon! ” You are so right. Even though his theme seemed to have been about the prodigal son, and not the glorified Christ, he made clear that forgiveness from God would be granted to anyone turning to God in repentance.
It was also made clear through the singing of “Just As I Am”, that all we can offer God is our sin. We are undone at best. Christ, the Rock was cleft for us. God uses means, strange to us, to gather his sheep. He used, poverty, corn husks, and the rejection of friends to bring the prodigal back to the father.
“ Excellent message ” I really didn't know that much about Billy Graham before except what I heard on the news. I didn't know what the controversy among Christians about him was. This message was very helpful. Thank you for all the research you did. And thank you for your goal of defending the truth
“ Thoughtful Sermon ” This is an excellent sermon. Pastor Thomassian acknowledges the unassailable godly conduct of Billy Graham, both in his family life and finances. But the pastor painstakingly explains how grievous an error it is to join hands with Rome, which Mr. Graham certainly did. Also he quotes Mr. Graham asserting in an interview that some people who have never heard the name of Christ will be in heaven, contradicting Romans CH 10. It took courage to preach this sermon given the iconic status of Mr. Graham.
“ Important Sermon! ” B Graham was an important early instrument for the ushering in of the final antichrist system, which is now upon us. He had early leanings to ecumenism which R Hearst, used by Satan, picked up on. The pulpits are now full of men (& women!) preaching blatant new age principles. Even though it is distasteful, it has become MANDATORY to warn, just as Paul did. Thank you for this!
