Great salvation. Saved from, saved to, saved for, saved by, saved as to be in the Body of Christ. Role and importance of testimonies for the life of the church.
Great example. Stephen - a man willing to serve, able to serve (he was equipped), effective to serve. And an example of what can happen with a man totally dedicated to God.
Great life with God. It is true: your life count when you are doing God's work, making His Kingdom to advance, being what God wants you to be and where He wants you to be, doing what He wants to do through you. Them you will be part of something really great: His glorious plan of His Kingdom!
Pattern. The missionaries preached the Gospel, made disciples, ordained leaders, founded churches - what they did is a pattern for today's missionaries.
Great Sermon! y
Your emphasis on THY KINGDOM EXPLAINS OUR FUTURE WITH JESUS CHRIST very clearly and biblically. Great sermon on how to pray for those we do not agree with.
Restoration. A needed, restoration, a needed ruler, a needed removal and a needed regeneration. God's promise of restoring His people. I interpret, however, chapter 34 as a Messianic prophecy.
Great warning. A message on chapter 33. The watchman must warn and the hearers need to hear. The tragedy of loving to hear the Word of God preached, but of not obeying and of hating the God behind His Word.
Punishing the nations. God is going to punish the nations who hated Israel and the prophecies against them will be literally fulfilled. God has the right to discipline His people, but woe to others who rejoices in this or who take advantage of this.
Sin and condemnation. God fully justifies to the children of Israel His condemnation for their sin. The sinner is not believing that he really deserves punishment.
Responses to objections. God's responses to the people's objections regarding His judgments. The sinner is not ready to believe that he deserves punishment or that God will really punish him.
Great warning. The tragedy of the people not sensing the departure of God's glory, of God's presence. Love for sin makes us insensible for spiritual things. The tragedy of seeing in sin more beauty than in God.
Seriousness of sin. A message about the seriousness of Israel's sin. God is announcing Israel that He will punish Him so that Israel may fear God and the remnant should turn to God.
New vision. The glory of God comes to a discouraged don of a priest, who cannot serve in the Temple, and gives him a new vision, a new knowledge of God and a new mandate. We all need that.
Great mandate. Ezekiel is called by God to bring His message to a defeated and stubborn people. Ezekiel is asked of the Lord to submit to His Word and to identify with His Word - only after that ha can be a messenger of God. This is true for every minister of the Lord today.
Treasure the truth. Believing the truth, continuing in the truth, fighting for the truth, fighting against error, passing on the truth. Perpetual command to form new men like Timothy.
