“ Last comment is despicable ” Dear SermonAudio staff, why in the world have you posted the previous comment and allowed it to remain here for the last five years? This woman is promoting a discredited idea called the khazar hypothesis. Anyone who wants to read about it can look that up on Wikipedia. It is false. Genetic studies on Jews have found no evidence of a khazar origin.
Her entire post is nothing but anti-semitic lies. Please do the right thing and delete it. True Christians love Jews and do not tell lies about them, lies which could inspire murderous acts such as the synagogue shooting in Poway yesterday.
“ Context Matters ” Listened to this message. Pastor Lyle erred in teaching it as he did. Malachi was not speaking of a monetary tithe. Nor was he speaking of the congregation.
In verse 7, Malachi called for a return to God's ordinances. God's ordinance of tithing said that God's tithe was to be agricultural...not monetary. (see Leviticus 27:30-33) Further, God's tithe ordinance also decreed that the congregation was not to tithe to the House of God. (see Numbers 18:21-26)
As men called into the Gospel Ministry, we need to preach the word...not opinion that contradicts the word. So many pastors overlook the facts.
“ Great Series ” Denis Lyle is one of my favorite pastors to listen to. This is such a great series. It is a book by book study through the Bible. This 66 sermon series on the Bible and his 32 sermon series on the Book of the Revelation are 2 of my favorites in Sermon Audio.
“ Thank You ” I had a 2cm brain aneurism that I had 2 surgeries on several months back. One failed and the second took 6 hrs instead of the usual 2 hrs while they installed a metal pipeline/stint. Because of the radiation side effects and surgery itself I have fallen into a deep depression. I have been on many combinations of medications with little help. Things have seemed dark and hopeless from waking to bed time. I’ve also since suffered anxiety and insomnia. Listening to this message is the first thing that has given me a glimmer of hope. I can not say what a blessing to realize other (strong, great and even Godly people) have suffered with this same issue. It truly gives me hope and hearing this confirmation that God does know and CARE about what we are suffering. I will be pouring my heart out to Him all the more. Thank you so much.
“ Only Source of Truth ” Well spoken, pastor Lyle.; that even those who preach Christ do not preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED. Therefore, man is kept in bondage to sin, or works of some type.

“ Great Sermon! ” A very well handled sermon on this hot topic for today, I agree with all that you said. I had even seen a Christian tattoo verse of scripture on his arm. So sad at times that some Christians go along with the world to imitate it. Also body piercings is another big and popular issue as well. Thanks Ian for speaking out on this issue biblically.
