“ A Sermon timely Sermon ” Brothers Scott Richardson (1981) and Henry Mahan (1982) were provoked by our LORD to preach on Romans 14 (Christian Liberty) as it relates to attitude of believers within the Body of the local flock. Yes, we are all taught of GOD however, our GOD has chosen preaching as the means (2Tim 3:16-17). Not until 2008 has any such message been preached. That's 27 long years; much too long & regrettable. In his message, brother Marvin in dealing with the attitude, makes it crystal clear that the teaching in Romans 14 is not undermining the Gospel of Gods free grace. And in his message brother Clay makes the point using Rom 14:17 whereby, if the strong use alcohol or tobacco as a “free-grace test” (my words) then, the stronger brother is actually manifesting he is the weaker as well as the uncharitable one. That is strong meat! Now if growth in grace is p/o the preaching ministry (2 Tim 3:16-17) then, failing to preach from Rom 14 deprives the believer of that which is needful in his growth in grace.

“ Great Sermon! ” An outstanding message preached by brother Marvin. He is faithful to the context and the Scripture. Sobering to think that were it not for the Divine purpose of God, we would (as the rest) suffer eternal judgment for our rebellion but God hath chosen us and purposed not to imputed our sins to the our record. It brings to mind the hymn: How sweet and awful is the Place.

In the wisdom of God He has gracious caused you to be ever so careful in declaring the Gospel and His testimony in Proverbs. It has been such a profitable journey in purposing to find HIM who is Wisdom, our Lord Jesus Christ, in Proverbs. Great message!
“ Great Sermon! ” Love this message for sure has opened the eyes of my understanding for sure!! I was thinking a few weeks ago that we for a good part of us go to God and we usually ask him for something we want or we want him to answer prayers for others sake and I think these are all good but most people won't come to God and ask him to teach us more about who he is and delighting ourselves in him instead of other things . Lord bless
