Great Sermon! I first read Mr. Jones Meet the Master when I was about 25. I'm now 52 & it's a blessing to hear the voice of Dr. Peter Marshall after all these years. I often think about this man of great faith.
Awesome! This was so good. Excellent foundational background of the bible. I like where keith was going at the end, and I can't wait to hear the next part.... But Where is part 2?
Great Sermon! A study on the story of Ananias and saphira. Pastor reidhead is always challenging and I'm sure that many will be glad in heaven for his straight forward no nonsense approach,
Hard to follow I am really interested in hearing/reading McCheyne's sermons, but the audio reading of the sermons is very fast (at 1.0; and 0.5 leaves it unbearably slow). I think that such a great man's works should not be read so hastily, and would like to see an audio preparation done whole heartedly and professionally.
Very Captivating This is perhaps Keith's most famous message. Keith begins this message by quoting the entire Sermon on the Mount word for word, for 25 minutes, with understanding, clarity and passion.
After that, he spends about 35 minutes expounding Matthew 5:13 - "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, it's no longer good for anything, but to be cast out and trampled underfoot by people". To do this, he goes through the entire Sermon on the Mount, passage by passage, showing how it all relates to us being the salt of the earth, the world's protection. His main point is Christ's main point: if we were as godly as we should be, our nations would be streaming to God in their masses. Our example is the thing that matters most.
This is God Speaking ... I've listened to a good number of Keith Daniel sermons now. I think this is a real treasure. He speaks on an extremely neglected topic, that of waiting on God, being still in faith and waiting for God to come to your aid, as you sit in the secret place and meditate on His word and pray. It was a different delivery to Keith's usual method - that of expressing himself loudly. Though I enjoy his usual delivery of expressive power and passion, this was equally powerful and passionate, even though he just spoke conversationally the whole time during the 2 hour sermon.
He quotes a huge amount of Scripture and enforces the point that the Secret Place is where God does His work - when we wait in faith on God, in the school of God. Life throws a lot of things at us and they're all tests. God expects us to pass the tests and the way to pass is to be still and wait on Him.
Inspiring! This was an inspiring message on prayer. The beginning when he recited from Ephesians 6 was thoroughly gripping and is the best reading I've probably ever heard of the Scriptures publicly. His exposition of the aspect of prayer wasn't hugely focused on the text. Instead, he brought gripping illustrations and stories to teach on the power of prayer. It was a captivating and motivating sermon and well worth a listen. One of Keith Daniel's main strengths, amongst others, is that it is impossible to listen to a message by him without understanding exactly, exactly what he's saying. You never really need to hear the same message by him twice. That's a rare gift - extreme clarity.
This is a Fantastic Message This is a fantastic message to listen to if you are really serious to get into God's word. It's incredibly inspiring and an absolute joy to listen to.
Keith speaks about all sorts: reading Scripture and how to do that; meditating on Scripture; why we need to know Scripture. He even deals with the whole issue that is so lost today of memorising Scripture - not just an individual verse, but whole chapters, whole books, which is Keith's own method. One of his main points is that we shouldn't treat God's word as if it's another book. It's HOLY!
This has had a huge impact on my life and as a result I have a greater reverence for God's word. I've also memorised all of Psalm 91 and half of Psalm 34 as a result and will continue to do this! It's amazing.
Great Sermon! I love these wonderful stories about revival - and am very interested in the common theme of the church praying in unity and the holy spirit moving the church to prayer .
Great lessons. Good lessons about how to prepare for sermons. Muller discovers the doctrine of believer's baptism and decides to live by faith in regard with his salary.
