“ Convicting ”
As beautiful as the first part of this sermon is, the second part is just as terrifying. Edwards gives the reader a sharp contrast between the beauty of Heaven and the Woes to be in Hell. His discussion on Hell is basically a condensed version of Sinners in the hands of an Angry God, but loses none of the terror of that horrible place prepared for the devil and his demons.

“ Heavenly Words ”
If this sermon doesn't make you long for heaven and the beauty of Christ that we will see face to face then nothing will. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I feel as though I have just tasted of heaven this morning.

“ Thought provoking teaching ”
Interestingly, the Puritan approach to the topic carries more-in-depth, and superior substantial theological evidence for the observance of the Lord’s Day, than the average reasons upheld in present evangelical settings today regarding the same topic. It is worth considering the wealth of internal biblical knowledge that generation of preachers sustained!

“ Fantastic! May the Lord Jesus Christ get all ... ”
Fantastic JJ33! Thanks for sharing. May the Lord Jesus Christ get all the glory! "We are never nearer Christ than when we find ourselves lost in a holy amazement at His unspeakable love." - John Owen (on the Puritan Hard Drive)."Unfathomable oceans of grace are in Christ for you. Dive and dive again -- you will never come to the bottom of these depths!" - Robert Murray McCheyne (on the Puritan Hard Drive). "So in love is Christ with holiness that he will buy it with his blood for us." - John Flavel (on the Puritan Hard Drive). "Christ is the very essence of all delights and pleasures, the very soul and substance of them. As all the rivers are gathered into the ocean, which is the meeting-place of all the waters in the world, so Christ is that ocean in which all true delights and pleasures meet." - John Flavel (on the Puritan Hard Drive).

“ God Saved Me ”
God saved my soul after 23 years of religious turmoil while I was listening to this sermon in June of 2010. I have wanted to let SWRB know for some time. Your efforts are not wasted. Praise the living God!

“ Christmas Is A Roman Catholic Missions Strategy! ”
"Christmas was not celebrated by the apostolic church. It was not celebrated during the first few centuries of the church. As late as A.D. 245, Origen (Hom. 8 on Leviticus) repudiated ...the idea of keeping the birthday of Christ, "as if he were a king Pharaoh." By the middle of the 4th century, many churches in the Latin west were celebrating Christmas. During the 5th century, Christmas became an official Roman Catholic holy day. In A.D. 534, Christmas was recognized as an official holy day by the Roman state. The reason that Christmas became a church holy day has nothing to do with the Bible. The Bible does not give the date of Christ's birth. Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to celebrate Christmas. Christmas (as well as many other pagan practices) was adopted by the Roman church as a missionary strategy." - The Regulative Principle of Worship and Christmas by Brian Schwertley FREE BOOK at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/actualNLs/CHRISTMAS.htm or on the Puritan Hard Drive http://ow.ly/dZ3ua FREE MP3s & VIDEOS: CHRISTMAS CONDEMNED BY CHRIST (EASTER & OTHER PAGAN HOLY DAYS TOO) BY GREG PRICE (39,700+ VIEWS) https://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details3.asp?ID=13415 Christmas: 8 New Free Reformed MP3s http://ow.ly/xXZCD

“ Useful ”
How can the church expect blessing unless is obedient? Separation is the route into blessing "Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest." Ps 95

“ Great Book! ”
I bought the book on the internet. Great book and very recommendable to all of those who believe there is no God, Heaven or Hell. A Deathbed reveals a lot about these realities.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I hope and pray that many muslimfriends may learn to know the one name given under heaven among men, whereby we must be saved: The Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). The Son of God (John 20:31).

Best explenation on 2 Thess 2 and Revelation. Showing that the Papacy is the Antichrist mentioned in Scripture. Also hoping and praying that those who are in this system may come out of her and be saved (Rev. 18:4)

Thanks Steve. It's hard to understand how Tom could have missed something so obvious about this blog page. In any case, below is a little more information in defense of God's truth, which is sometimes nicknamed "Calvinism".

God's Absolute Sovereignty (Predestination) and Man's Full Responsibility and Free Agency (In the Bible) - Free Reformation Resources (MP3s, Videos, Books, etc.) http://ow.ly/TrnwA (at PurtianDownloads.com). This page includes the best free MP3 sermon (on SermonAudio) we have heard harmonizing God's absolute sovereignty with man's complete responsibility, as it is revealed in the Bible.

"What is the heresy of Rome, but the addition of something to the perfect merits of Jesus Christ--the bringing in of the works of the flesh, to assist in our justification? And what is the heresy of Arminianism but the addition of something to the work of the Redeemer? Every heresy, if brought to the touchstone, will discover itself here. I have my own private opinion that there is no such thing as preaching Christ and Him crucified, unless we preach what nowadays is called Calvinism. It is a nickname to call it Calvinism; Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else." (From the Spurgeon sermon A Defense of Calvinism, free MP3 at http://tinysa.com/255911 on SermonAudio).

“ Best Sermon! ”
This is one of the best sermons. It discusses several things I have struggled with. He explains each point thoroughly with Scripture. Thank you for this sermon!
