Our purpose is to make known how wonderful God is and what great things He has done for us in Christ. We believe that when people know Christ, they will never be the same. Because God in Christ is taking us from where He found us, to make us over new. We need change, and God’s grace in Christ is mighty to change us When we meet for worship, we want to always be aware that God is high and exalted and yet condescends to receive our adoration as we approach Him in Christ enabled by the Spirit. Our worship must therefore be reverent yet filled with gratitude and joy. We want God’s Word, the Bible, to be always present in every portion of our worship. We believe that it is in this way, the people of God will grow in their understanding of God’s Word and grow spiritually in the walk with God. Finally, it is through the declaring of God’s Word, that salvation from sin in Christ is made known to all of us, because all of us are sinners and in need of deliverance. We want for sinners to believe the Gospel that they might be saved, and we want for the people of God to believe the Gospel that they might live as those who have been saved. We are a Reformed Baptist Church, committed to the biblical doctrine and practice recovered in the Protestant Reformation as expressed in the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith (the 1689 Confession). For those familiar with the term, we are a confessional church. We have a well-established history of faithfulness in both faith and practice. We believe that sound Christian living is built on sound Bible teaching – we are not a church that thinks that doctrine is unimportant. But we do want doctrine to be practical and impactful to our lives We encourage you to join our streamed service or listen to some of the sermons on the site or visit us in person.
We just started broadcasting with SermonAudio this year. We are so grateful for the service this site provides. We have found the helps and tips for new broadcasters useful and accessible. We utilize the service in several ways. We occasionally show a video from another broadcaster on SermonAudio during one of our teaching times. I refer people in our church to various other sermons/series on SermonAudio that might address a particular question they have or deal with a particular text they are studying. Several people in our church have benefitted greatly from SermonAudio.
