Why is our church here? What are we supposed to be doing? Is there a purpose behind our gatherings or are we just another service club or social club?
Every few years I like to bring us back to a reminder of our purpose statement. This can help us re-focus our attention and re-affirm the mission God has given to us.
God has called us to glorify Him. We seek to bring Him glory by: 1. Exalting Christ first in all areas of our lives; both corporately and as individuals 2. Making disciples who are * Knowledgeable in God's word * Able to apply God's Word to their daily lives * Bound together in Agape love * Actively concerned for the welfare of the saints 3. Unleashing the saints to perform the ministry for which God has called and equipped them
