As we came to the end of Chapter 6 in the gospel of John, we learned many of Jesus' disciples abandoned Him. After listening to what they perceived to be hard sayings, they grumbled and walked away. And they walked away with empty stomachs because they expected Him to feed them again as He had done after preaching on the east side of the Sea of Galilee.
They left Him disappointed because they expected earthly things from Him and He was feeding them spiritual things; the words of eternal life, so they rejected Him
