The church has both a front door and a back door. Now I'm not talking about doors made up of steel and wood. I'm not talking about a church made up of brick and mortar. I'm talking about a church made up of men and women who profess Christ and I'm talking about doors that either let us in to the fellowship or from time to time the exit through which some people seem to slip away. That's the kind of doors I'm talking about. Evangelism and love open the front door of the church and invite people in. But then there's that back door - the exit. How do we guard the exit so that people do not just slip away? Fellowship and exhortation and at times confrontation are all prescribed in scripture to guard the back door of the church so that very few will slip away. So let's talk about two Christian duties that help guard the back door of the church. To Exhort and To Confront - We are to exhort the restless among us and we are to confront the sinful among us.
