The world changed forever on September 11, 2001. The events of that day are burned into our memories. Ten years later people are still asking the question “Where was God on 9/11?” What has been the church's response? How are the people of God to answer this and many other questions about the pain and suffering of that day?
To help Christians reflect Biblically on the events of 9/11, Ligonier Ministries is offering a complimentary copy of the special September edition of Tabletalk magazine entitled 9/11 Ten Years Later. In addition to the daily Bible studies and feature columns, this issue contains articles such as “The Gospel for Muslims” by Thabiti Anyabwile, “A Pastor's Reflection” by Rev. Charles Drew, “Can God Bless America?” by Dr. John MacArthur, “Ten Years Later” by Dr. R.C. Sproul, and more.
During the first part of the program today, I will summerize some of the articles is this special edition of Tabletalk Magazine.
On the second half of the program, I will be joined by Karlyn Bowman - Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. We will discuss a recent issue of AEI's Political Report entitled, "The War on Terrror: Ten Years of Polls on American Attitudes"
Pollsters have asked thousands of questions over the past decade about public reactions to 9/11. In the latest issue of AEI's Political Report, the editors look at how attitudes have changed over the past decade about the War on Terror.
Karlyn Bowman compiles and analyzes American public opinion using available polling data on a variety of subjects. She has often lectured on the role of think tanks in the United States and writes a weekly column for Forbes.com
