Dr. John Whitcomb addressed the students and staff of Shasta Bible College, teaching those gathered for Alpha/Omega Conference about “the great nature Psalm” – Psalm 104. He explains that verses 1 to 5 deal with creation, verses 6 to 9 relate to the Genesis Flood, and verses 10 to 35 show God's ongoing providence over the whole world. “Everything in this world is under total divine control,” says Dr. Whitcomb. “God changed the world forever at the time of the flood.” Our speaker shows how geology cannot possibly be understood without a knowledge of the flood, stating that the flood changed the mountains, the original vapor canopy that covered the earth and the oceans, among other things. Dr. Whitcomb calls the flood, “The rarest expression of the wrath of God human history has ever experienced.” He uses the Mount St. Helens catastrophe as an illustration of the kinds of things that may have happened at the flood. We believe that you will be blessed by the powerful teaching in this message.
