The Prophet here gives hope, inspiration and a proclamation about the success God's Word brings, carries to its recipients, and the accomplishing of the purpose whereby it was sent, and that it never returns to Him void. We may never see or realize the effects but as He told Habakkuk "But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. " |
