You May Fall but Not Far Jude 24-25The Christian life is a life of mercy. It defines how God relates to you, and it must define how you relate to others. So, what's the shield-up message of Jude's letter? It's your responsibility to keep up the shield of Faith and hope. It may seem like you're falling sometimes but not far. No one can take you out of the Fathers Hands. You are responsible for you, for what you think, for what you believe, for who you listen to, for what you do. It is on you to keep Jesus first in your life. It is on you to be consistent in spiritual discipline. It is on you to show mercy to the world around you as you await the full expression of God's mercy in your life. It's on you. It's up to you. You're responsible for you. This is how you contend for the faith. Jude closes with a beautiful doxology.God is the only wise God and He is our Savior. God alone is the God who dwells in glory and majesty, dominion and power. Therefore, the only thing left for believers to do is to shout the praises of Him who alone can save them: vv.24-25
