People exploiting others is the dark side of human history. Exploitation is about abusing and taking advantage of others. It is about unfairly using others' time, talents, and treasures for personal gain. It is enrichment of self at the expense of someone else. It is stealing. It is rooted in greed, selfish, and sin. This does not make the people who are exploited good. Many of those who are exploited, abuse others as well. Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Ecclesiastes 7:20 says, "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." Exploitation is a two-way street. Employers and employees often try to take advantage of each other. Employers try to get more for less out of their employees. And employees try to give less for more from their employers. Both try to cheat the other. It is the human way. In Genesis 31:42, Jacob scolds Laban for exploiting him. "Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight."
