The 120 years of Moses' life can be divided up into three sections. The first 40 years were spent thinking he was a somebody. The second 40 was spent learning he was a nobody. He learned it to the point where when God called him he gave excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't. but during that time he was emptied of himself so God could fill him properly. Which He did and the last 40 years was then spent doing God's work. That day when he came across the burning bush his ordinary day changed to an extraordinary day. First God had him remove his shoes, which were symbolic of his own works. Once that was done God told Moses He was going to deliver His people and us Moses to do it. Moses was concerned about this ‘who' but God was going to be his power and show the world who God really is. God wants us to be on His side, just as He wanted Moses to be. Because God is the one and only one we can rely on we need to be with Him. As ‘I AM' He is whatever the filler for whatever is lacking in our lives. He has to be because He wants to use us, if we will let Him.
