We need to know the meaning of godly fear. Itâ€™s not dread. Itâ€™s completely different. Itâ€™s a holy reverential awe. Itâ€™s knowing that God is God, and you are not. You know your own sins and how undeserving you are of His love and grace and mercy. And yet Holy God lavishes them upon you all the same. As the infinite, all-powerful God of heaven trades His righteousness for your sin, what else can you do but stand in holy reverential awe before Him?
