TIMELINE OF THEIR LIVES: • February 22, 1906 - Elisabeth Scott is born • January 18, 1907 - John Stam is born • May 1922 - John becomes a believer (Betty was saved as a young child) • 1928, 1929 - First Betty and then John go to Moody Bible Institute to study to become missionaries. • 1931, 1932 - First Betty and then John head to China to do language training and mission work • October 1933 - John and Betty are married • September 1934 - Helen is born • November 1934 - They are assigned to the city of Tsingteh • December 1934 - John and Betty die as martyrs
