People who said they loved God's rule, in fact, loved their wealth more. On the other hand, those who tasted the sweetness of life under Christ's reign could 'take it or leave it'. They had found what mattered most to them. Jesus said, effectively, 'If you are not ready to leave everything else behind, you haven't begun to see how much I am offering you!'
