Acts 11:19-30 – Christian Unity – Sermon Outline Intro: Now that the Christian Jewish leadership and churches know God's elect from all nations will receive Christ's Spirit just as they received it, they are prepared to receive Gentile Christians with unity and charity. Need: We must love our Lord, and His body, the Church, comprised of sinners from every tribe, tongue, nation. Theme: Word and deed ministry within the Church promotes unity in truth and love. This unity is seen by:
1. The persecuted Jews & Barnabas proclaiming God's Word to Gentiles. (19-24) 2. Barnabas seeking Saul the former persecutor to minister to these new Christians. (25-26) 3. Jews prophesying to the Gentile converts of global famine, who in turn send financial relief for the Jewish Christians. (27-29)
